چکیده

In this paper, we consider the problem of bistatic multipleinput multiple-output (MIMO) radar systems design for parameters estimation. Maximum channel capacity is used as criterion for the problem of optimal systems design under transmitted power constraint and channel constraint. We obtain that the system design based on maximum channel capacity can be expressed as a joint optimization problem. Given the number of transmit antenna, the number of receive antenna and signal-noise ratio (SNR), the maximum channel capacity can be determined. This maximum channel capacity can be obtained from a unique appropriate power allocation and antenna placement strategy, which is very important for system design.

Power Allocation Strategies for MIMO Radar Waveform Design

The role of waveform design is central to effective radar resource management for state-of-the art radar systems. The waveform shape employed by any radar system has always been a key factor in determining the performance and application. The design of radar waveform to minimize mean square error (MSE) in estimating the target impulse response is based on power allocation using waterfilling. ...

Evaluating the deformation monitoring capability of a ground based SAR system with MIMO antenna

By increasing the applicability of ground-based SAR (GBSAR) systems in geoscience and remote sensing, the development and evaluation of new systems have gained attention. GBSAR systems can be utilized for monitoring areas that are hard to or cannot be seen by the airborne or spaceborne systems. Furthermore, they have better spatial and temporal resolutions and are cost-effective and easy to imp...

Dynamic Capacity Estimation for the Indoor Wireless Channel with MIMO Arrays and Pedestrian Traffic

The use of Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) channels has recently attracted considerable interest as an approach that can yield significant capacity gains over conventional smart antenna arrays. This paper presents a new channel model for MIMO systems in populated indoor environments. The model is based on geometrical optics and a detailed radar cross-section (RCS) representation of the hu...

Channel Modeling between Seaborne MIMO Radar and MIMO Cellular System

Spectrum sharing between radars and cellular systems is an emerging area of research. In this paper, we model channel between a seaborne MIMO radar and MIMO cellular system. We model a 2D channel to capture the azimuth aspect of the spectrum sharing scenario. Our channel modeling methodology allows MIMO radar to place accurate nulls in the azimuth location of base stations (BS), thus, protectin...
